Parties and events create a different cleaning workload from routine home cleaning. Floors may need additional attention, rubbish and recycling may need gathering, bathrooms may require a more substantial clean and entertaining areas may need to be returned to normal.
Glaive discusses the expected clean-up requirements before the booking so the appropriate service can be arranged.

Family celebrations
Birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings and other private celebrations where additional cleaning is required once guests have left.
Functions & events
Cleaning for suitable function and event spaces where the required work, access arrangements and scope are agreed beforehand.
Typical after-party cleaning
Depending on the agreed scope, the service may include:
- Collection and bagging of ordinary party rubbish
- Separation of recycling where practical
- Clearing agreed surfaces
- Kitchen surface cleaning
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning
- Vacuuming
- Mopping and floor cleaning
- Cleaning tables and accessible surfaces
- General tidying of entertaining areas
- Returning agreed rooms to an orderly condition
Event cleaning by agreement
Larger functions or event spaces may require a more specific cleaning arrangement.
Before the event
Pre-event cleaning may be arranged where the property or venue needs to be prepared before guests arrive.
After the event
Post-event cleaning can be arranged according to venue access, expected finish time and the anticipated work.
More substantial clean-ups
Where an event is expected to create a larger workload, tell us beforehand so the required time, equipment and disposal arrangements can be considered.

Every event is different
After-party and event cleaning is arranged according to the size of the property or venue, expected attendance, areas used, anticipated condition, access arrangements and the time at which cleaning is required.
Planning an event?
Tell us about the occasion before it happens. Providing the expected guest numbers, areas being used, event finish time and required cleaning allows Glaive to consider the appropriate booking arrangement.
Larger functions, unusual requirements and venue cleaning may be individually quoted where appropriate.
If the condition encountered after the event is materially different from what was described when the service was arranged, Glaive will discuss any additional work with the client before proceeding beyond the agreed scope.
Rubbish, recycling and clean-up
Ordinary party rubbish can be collected and bagged as part of the agreed cleaning service. Recycling can be separated where practical and suitable facilities are available.
Disposal arrangements should be discussed before the booking where the event is expected to generate more waste than the property's or venue's normal waste facilities can accommodate.
Removal of unusually large quantities of rubbish, furniture, equipment or other bulky items is not automatically included in an after-party or event cleaning booking.
Clear service boundaries
- Cleaning is limited to the areas and work agreed for the booking.
- Additional work arising from circumstances materially different from those described before the booking will be discussed before proceeding.
- Ordinary party rubbish may be collected and bagged, subject to available disposal facilities.
- Bulky-item removal and substantial waste disposal require separate agreement.
- Sharps, biological contamination, hazardous substances and other specialist hazards are not part of ordinary after-party or event cleaning.
- Damage, permanent staining or deterioration that cannot reasonably be corrected through ordinary cleaning is not guaranteed to be removable.
- Access to the property or venue must be arranged before the scheduled service.
- Any venue-specific access, safety or cleaning requirements must be communicated to Glaive before the booking.
Planning a party or event?
Tell us where the event is being held, approximately how many people are expected, when it finishes and which areas are likely to require cleaning. Glaive can then discuss the most appropriate clean-up arrangement with you.
