Meal preparation information

Where meal preparation is requested, Glaive may ask about food preferences and whether anyone who will consume the prepared food has a diagnosed or suspected food allergy.

In most cases, Glaive does not need detailed medical histories, diagnoses, financial account information, identity documents or other unrelated sensitive information to provide cleaning or household services.

If additional information is genuinely required for a particular service, Glaive can discuss what is necessary and why before requesting it.

6. Payments

Glaive may accept payment through Square, PayPal, cash and direct deposit.

Where a third-party payment provider such as Square or PayPal is used, payment information may be processed through that provider's systems and will also be subject to the provider's own privacy and security practices.

Glaive does not need clients to submit credit or debit card numbers through the general Request a Quote form.

Glaive may retain transaction information reasonably required for invoicing, accounting, taxation and business records.

7. When information may be disclosed

Glaive does not sell client personal information.

Personal information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to operate the business or provide the requested service, including to:

Depending on the website configuration, technical information such as IP address, browser information, device information, cookies or similar data may be processed by the website platform or associated services.

External services linked from the Glaive website operate under their own privacy practices.

9. Overseas processing

Some technology, website, email, payment or cloud-service providers used by Glaive may store or process information using infrastructure located outside Australia.

The location of such processing may depend on the particular service provider and its infrastructure arrangements.

Glaive will review this section as its technology providers and information-handling arrangements develop.

10. Security

Glaive takes reasonable administrative, technical and practical measures appropriate to the business to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration.

However, no website, email system, electronic storage system or method of internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Clients should therefore avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email or through the general enquiry form.

11. Retention and disposal

Glaive retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, ongoing service administration, dispute management, insurance, accounting, taxation and applicable legal requirements.

Information that is no longer reasonably required may be securely deleted, destroyed or de-identified where appropriate, subject to any record-keeping obligations that apply.

12. Access and correction

You may contact Glaive if you would like to request access to personal information Glaive holds about you or believe that information should be corrected.

Glaive may need to verify your identity before providing access to personal information.
