Glaive's in-home meal preparation service takes place entirely in the client's own kitchen. Meals are agreed before the visit, prepared using ingredients arranged in advance, and portioned for appropriate use, refrigeration or freezing.
The service can be used for an evening meal, preparation of several suitable meals ahead, or practical meal-preparation assistance as part of a household support arrangement.

What can be prepared?
Glaive focuses on straightforward home-style meals suitable for preparation in a domestic kitchen.
A selection of suggested dishes will be available to make choosing meals easier. Other dishes can be discussed where they are practical within the available booking time.
No fixed meal-count promise
Different dishes require very different preparation and cooking times. For that reason, Glaive does not promise a fixed number of meals per booking.
Ingredients and equipment
Clients ordinarily provide the food ingredients required for their selected meals.
An ingredient list can be agreed before the visit so the required items are available when meal preparation begins.
Using your kitchen
Meal preparation is undertaken using the client's domestic kitchen and suitable available cooking facilities. Any unusual equipment requirements should be discussed before the booking.
Food safety matters
Meals intended for later use require appropriate handling, cooling and storage. Glaive allows for this as part of the meal-preparation process rather than treating cooking as complete the moment food leaves the stove or oven.
- Appropriate hand hygiene before and during food preparation

- Separation of raw and ready-to-eat foods where required

Important food allergy information
Glaive Cleaning Services does not provide meal preparation for anyone with a diagnosed or suspected food allergy, or where allergen-free meal preparation is required.
Domestic kitchens may contain allergens and Glaive cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment or prevent allergen cross-contact.
Ordinary food preferences and agreed menu choices may be accommodated where practical. Glaive does not provide therapeutic or medically prescribed diets.
Where meal preparation cannot be provided because of these restrictions, clients remain welcome to enquire about Glaive's other household and cleaning services.

Clear service boundaries
Glaive's in-home meal preparation service is intended to provide practical assistance with ordinary household cooking. To keep the service clearly defined and manageable, the following boundaries apply:
- All cooking takes place in the client's own home.
- Glaive does not prepare meals off-site for later delivery.
- Glaive does not provide catering services.
- Meal choices must be agreed before the booking.
- Clients ordinarily supply the required food ingredients.
- The number of meals prepared depends on the dishes selected, available facilities and the time required to prepare them.
- Glaive does not provide meal preparation where diagnosed or suspected food allergies are present.
- Glaive does not provide allergen-free meal preparation.
- Glaive does not provide therapeutic or medically prescribed diets.
- Glaive does not promote large-volume meal preparation intended to provide food for extended periods.
- Suitable storage space must be available where meals are intended for refrigeration or freezing.
Meal preparation by arrangement
Standalone in-home meal preparation is quoted according to the requested dishes, anticipated preparation time and the requirements of the booking.

Standalone meal preparation is quoted rather than advertised as a fixed hourly package, allowing the service to reflect the actual work requested.
Need cleaning as well?
Glaive's Clean & Cook service combines in-home meal preparation with household cleaning during one extended visit. Meal preparation is completed first, followed by general household cleaning while the appropriate food cooling process continues.
